6'0" tall with shoes off

Mom & Dad went to Huntsman this morning for labs and a change of dressing on his neck port. Drive time was a record 16 minutes on an early Sunday morning and that was with Mom driving so it might be said that we could shave a few minutes off of that if it was one of the kids behind the civics wheel! Good job Mom.

Dad will make his comments each day when he checks in and has his height and weight checked that while the weight may change, he isn't apt to loose inches off his height from day to day. So keep this in mind.... he is 6'0" tall without his shoes. Imagine if he wore PeeWee's "tequila" shoes one day? That would keep those nurses guessing.

Dads labs show that he is moving in the right direction but he isn't were he needs to be yet for the harvesting to begin. He still has a *Neulasta shot on Tuesday to help those stem cells do what they need to do to peek out and give us a friendly "hello" before the nurses can snatch them up and freeze them for the transplant to come.

*Granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF or GCSF) is a colony-stimulating factor hormone. It is a glycoprotein, growth factor or cytokine produced by a number of different tissues to stimulate the bone marrow to produce granulocytes and stem cells. G-CSF then stimulates the bone marrow to release them into the blood. It also stimulates the survival, proliferation, differentiation, and function of neutrophil precursors and mature neutrophils. G-CSF is also known as colony-stimulating factor 3 (CSF 3).
