Today Steve spent the day at Huntsman with Bonnie & Leigh Ann waiting to have his central line or cork (as Emily calls it) put in his chest. They enter through the jugular & then take the line down to the chest. It's under his skin and we still haven't yet been able to view it with all of the bandages on.
On the way home from the hospital we stopped at the Iceberg for the "sickie" to get his first and last shake of the summer. Tonight's dinner will be BBQ from Famous Dave's. The highlight of the day (at least for Leigh Ann) was making the hospital drive in 17 glorious minutes! A new record!!!
F.Y.I. We had a quick chat and Dad decided to name his central line "Kevin" from the movie "UP". So you'll know who we are referring to when we speak of Dads new buddy- Kevin in future updates.
