You can read the previous post below to see how our day went. After I left the house (around 4:20'ish) Dad crawled into bed and didn't get out. I went home and took care of dinner and grouchy kids who didn't want to eat dinner while Mom was at home taking Dad's temp and worrying. Around 8:30 or a little later Dads temp rose from 100.1 to 100.9 within the 20 minutes each time she retook it. Dad has been difficult to rouse at home this evening and slept all day at Huntsman too. We were worried. After calling the Dr. at the U of U hospital she was told to bring him in. After a mad rush across the valley to come to Moms aid, we are now sitting in a room on the Bone Marrow Transplant floor at the U of U hospital. Dad is sleeping, again but I'm sure this is welcome after many days and nights of sleeplessness for him recently. They have run a chest x-ray (still waiting on the results), poked and prodded and are running blood work and of course fluids and antibiotics to tackle this thing. His fever was 101.9 when we checked in around 10 p.m. tonight. His white counts are so low right now that his body doesn't have the ability to fight off even the most minor of invaders like anyother would be able to. So needless to say, everything is treated very seriously. He will be here for at least a few days, standard protocol for this type of thing, even if nothing is found that would be the cause of the elevated fever. He's in the right place to be taken care of and now Mom can take a night off and know that someone else can be his on call nurse!
And for those keeping track: our official time (when it actually counted) was 17 minutes!

Thanks for the updates, I appreciate it. I hope this speed bump on the way to recovery pass's quickly.
Looking forward to seeing your mouse moving again, sorry if that sounds unusual, but its a small comfort to see Mr. Gilchrist working in the corner of our office.
